Bare with us, ladies, while we take a break from our blogging on this site for awhile. We’ll be back in full force in just a few months. Working moms need a break, too!
In the meantime, check out Real Simple Magazine for great organizing, de-stressing, and self-help tips.

Thanksgiving is upon us, once again, friends. Break out the pumpkin pie, cranberries, and holiday wreaths! Every year, around this time, families reflect on what they are thankful for. This is a tradition, of course. So, in honor of the great feasts of friendships past, I present my list of “thankfuls” in the hopes that you, too, will take a few minutes today to remember what brings happiness to your life.
- Health - I’m thankful for my good health and that of my family’s health. I’ve got air in my lungs and blood in my heart, and with that, all life is possible.
- Life - I’m thankful for my career and financial status. In these tough times, I’ve learned how to manage and still maintain the kind of lifestyle I like.
- Friends - I’m thankful for the new friendships I’ve developed this past year as well as for those tried and true friendships over the past many moons.
- Family - I’m thankful for my rock solid family. Even in tough times, we always find a way to make each other laugh. I am also very thankful for the good health of my little girl pup, Annabelle. She gave us a scare this year but pulled through, tough as nails!
Please take the time this season to hug someone, kiss someone, embrace someone, make someone smile, and if at all possible, donate in any way you can, to those less fortunate than yourselves.
Here are a few ideas for donations:
- Goodwill - Coats, shoes, jackets, and blankets are always needed this time of year. Help others keep warm during these cold months.
- Women’s Shelter - Toilet paper, paper towels, towels, blankets, sheets, clothing, and toys are always at the top of these shelters’ lists. Help women and children get their footing again.
- Food Banks - Donate canned goods, or your time to a local food bank. Help make sandwiches, soup, and whatever else they need. Feed a hungry man this season.
- Salvation Army - Donate all of your spare change to the Santas and their cups. Every penny counts, so don’t be a grinch this season!
Here’s to a happy and safe holiday season for everyone and your families!

Plentiful Feast
